LENDLEDGER

About LendLedger

LendLedger is the verified directory for private lending professionals — built by real estate finance insiders who know what it costs to trust the wrong lender.

Our Mission

Private lending is a $70+ billion industry that still runs on word-of-mouth. Borrowers wire six- and seven-figure sums to lenders they found through a referral. Lenders fund deals with operators they met at a conference. There is no shared record — no verified track history of who closed, who walked, who charged undisclosed fees, or who funded draws on time.

LendLedger was built to fix that. We are the verified, two-sided directory for the private lending industry: lenders, operators, and brokers hold verified profiles, review each other on real deals, and build a reputation that travels from transaction to transaction. Our mission is to make private lending more transparent, more accountable, and more accessible — especially for newer participants who don’t yet have a warm-referral network to rely on.

Who We Are

The LendLedger team comes from real estate finance. We have worked on fix-and-flip lending desks, structured bridge and construction loans, and advised operators navigating the MCA market. We built this directory because we experienced the problem personally: there was no reliable, unbiased way to verify a lender’s actual track record before committing capital or a deal.

We are based in the United States and focused exclusively on the U.S. private lending market: hard money, bridge, DSCR, fix-and-flip, construction, MCA, revenue-based financing, and the broker and ISO channel that moves the majority of deal flow.

Our Verification Methodology

Every profile in the LendLedger directory goes through a three-step curator review before it appears in search results:

  1. Entity verification: We confirm the business is a legal, registered entity in good standing. We check state business registries and cross-reference provided contact information.
  2. Operating history review: We evaluate evidence of active lending operations — website, deal history, professional affiliations, and AAPL membership where applicable. Newly formed entities without operating history may be placed on a watchlist rather than verified.
  3. Licensing check: Where applicable (e.g., mortgage broker licenses in states requiring them), we verify the lender holds the appropriate license. License status is noted on the profile.

After a profile is verified, ongoing trust signals come from moderated reviews submitted by counterparties with their own verified accounts. Reviews are tied to real transactions and cannot be submitted anonymously. Lenders cannot remove negative reviews or pay for placement improvements.

Why Trust Matters for YMYL Content

Private lending content is financial content — it directly affects your financial decisions and the capital you commit to deals. We take this responsibility seriously. Our editorial policy is simple: we do not accept payment for lender placement, editorial coverage, or review suppression. Every data point on a verified profile reflects real, moderated information from verified participants.

If you have a question about a specific profile, our verification process, or want to report a lender for misconduct, please contact us. We investigate all reports and take action where warranted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who built LendLedger?

LendLedger was built by a team of real estate finance professionals who have direct experience in private lending, hard money lending, and commercial real estate transactions. The founders experienced firsthand how difficult it is to vet lenders and borrowers without a verified, centralized record.

How does LendLedger verify lenders?

Every lender profile goes through entity verification (legal business existence and standing), operating history review, and licensing checks where applicable. Curators confirm that the business is actively operating before the Verified badge is applied. No profile can be purchased or fast-tracked.

Can lenders pay to improve their ranking or remove reviews?

No. Lenders cannot pay for placement, improved visibility, or review removal. Ratings and risk flags come exclusively from moderated reviews by verified counterparties — borrowers, brokers, and co-lenders who completed actual transactions.

When was LendLedger founded?

LendLedger was founded to address the trust gap in private lending — a market where billions of dollars change hands based on handshakes and referrals, with no centralized, verified record of lender or borrower track records.
